Daredevil: Born Againwill feature a surpriseMarvel Cinematic Universecharacter. After Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk debuted in Marvel Studios projects in 2021, the characters now finally get the chance to shine in a new series of their own.Daredevil: Born Again’s castfeatures other returning stars and characters from Netflix’sDaredevil, making it quite the event for fans of Charlie Cox’s version of Matt Murdock. While the Netflix returns are exciting, seeing Daredevil interact with the wider MCU in recent projects has been great, andDaredevil: Born Again’s storyfeatures another crossover or two.
Speaking withSFX Magazine(via@MCU_Direct/Twitter),Daredevil: Born Againshowrunner Dario Scardapaneteased how an unexpected MCU character will appear in the upcoming Marvel series.

According to Scardapane, the MCU character is someone that fans would never think would appear inDaredevil: Born Again. The showrunner also teases that the way this mystery character joins the show is organic, not forced for the sake of a crossover. There are quite a few characters that would make sense for an appearance in theupcoming MCU TV show, but Scardapane’s comments make it more difficult to guess unless it is a revealed cameo.
What The Daredevil: Born Again MCU Character Comments Mean
Which Character Could Join The Marvel Series?
TheDaredevil: Born Againshowrunner’s comments about the series' mystery MCU character fit one player who has already been revealed for the series. The first trailer forDaredevil: Born Againwas shown privately at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. It revealed thatMs. Marvel’s father, Yusuf Khan, will be in the series, with Matt Murdock saving him from some thugs in the footage. Interestingly, when theDaredevil: Born Againtrailer was recently released online, Yusuf Khan was nowhere to be seen, which might mean he is the character Scardapane was talking about.
10 Reasons 2025 Can Be The Biggest Year For The MCU & DC In Quite Some Time
Between new MCU/DCU movies & series, the start of filming on anticipated projects, casting news, and more, 2025 will be a major year for superheroes.
Khan was used for comedic relief quite a bit in Disney+‘sMs. Marvel. As such, he is not a character that one would expect to see in the overtly serious TV-MADaredevil: Born Again. If the MCU is keeping other guest characters a surprise untilDaredevil: Born Againpremieres, then there are a few other possible options. Given Kingpin’s ties to the show, anyone from Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton to Tony Dalton’s Jack Duquesne fromHawkeyecould appear. Doctor Strange and other more fantastical Marvel characters could also fit the description.

Our Take On The Daredevil: Born Again MCU Character Comments
The Marvel Series Promises To Be A Thrill Ride
Daredevil: Born Againseems to be doing right when it comes to MCU crossovers. While cameos and returning characters are exciting, they always need to serve the story. If done just for the sake of having crossovers, like the DCEU’sThe Flashmovie did, those moments do not help the project. Thankfully, I’m happy that no matter what MCU character makes a surprise appearance in the series, showrunner Dario Scardapane guarantees they come in an organic way. Even though his absence from the released trailer is suspicious, I don’t think theDaredevil: Born Againmystery character is Yusuf Khan.
