It may not be any closer to release, but at least some creatives have managed tomake the wait a little less painful.
Over on YouTube, content creatorPrimaconcommissioned popular Minecraft map editor Clouser tofully recreate the 2019 E3 demo forSilksongand the result is shockingly impressive.

The build obviously incorporates the blocky aesthetic that’s become synonymous withMinecraftbutthe flow of the gameplay and the detail in the world is genuinely impressive. The brief “demo” allows users to step into the role of Hornet and fight through a couple of locations with her trusty needle and thread at her side; it doesn’t look like it should work but in practice, it’s a testament toMinecraft’s fluidity.
Stylish New Steam Game Is Perfect For People Waiting For Hollow Knight: Silksong
There’s no substituting for Silksong, but Hollow Knight fans could definitely find some fun in a new game that’s blazing its own trail.
What’s Taking Silksong So Long?
Apparently, It’s A Massive Game
Clouser’s recreation of theSilksongdemo doesn’t just consist of the levels on display,it also includes two bosses that have been faithfully adapted intoMinecraft’s style. Those who do play the creator’s map will be able to take on Lace and Mossmother when they reach the end of Deep Docks and Moss Grotto, respectively. Those who give the build a go are in luck because it even supports multiplayer so anyone struggling to overcome one of the brutal bosses can just ask a friend for help.
As for the actualHollow Knight: Silksong, there’s still no word on when the game will ship. Following an appearance at an Xbox Showcase event in 2022,many assumed that the wait was close to overbut over two years later, Team Cherry has yet to unveil any new information. As frustrating as that may be,it’s always worth remembering that Team Cherry is a very small development teamthat consists of a handful of people, soSilksong’s lengthy development certainly makes sense.

Another factor to consider is thatHollow Knight: Silksongis supposedly much larger than the original game. Based on the developers' previous comments, the game will feature over 100 different checkpoints and 165 new enemiesscattered across the entire map. In comparison, the firstHollow Knightonly had 41 benches, so it’s clear thatthe sequel is working on a much larger scale.
