Popular movie and TV properties have been collaborating with fast-food franchises for decades, so it should be no surprise thatOne Piecehad a collaboration with Burger King — though surprisingly not in the United States. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name,One Piecefirst premiered in 1999 and became one of themost popular anime of all time. The series, which has aired over 1100 episodes and is still on the air, centers on the superpowered Michael D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they search for the titular mythical treasure.
GivenOne Piece’s massive success in America, it was only a matter of time beforeNetflix turned the anime into a live-action adaptation. The streaming juggernaut has had mixed success with this, as their 2021 live-actionCowboy Bebopadaptation was a notorious bomb that was canceled after just one season. However, Netflix’s live-actionOne Pieceseries was a hit that broke records when it was released in 2023. Given how heavily Netflix promotes their most popular shows, it’s a surprise they didn’t team up with a fast food restaurant similar to the previousOne PieceBurger King collaboration.

Could The One Piece Burger King Come Back — And To The US?
It’s Not Likely, But Anything Is Possible With Netflix Releasing Season 2 Of The Live-Action Adaptation

However, withseason 2 of theOne PieceNetflix live-action adaptation confirmed, anything is possible.
The renewal was announced just two weeks afterOne Pieceseason 1 hit the streaming service, proving Netflix’s faith in the series.
