“I didn’t want to answer that question, because I don’t think the character knows. I think it’s such a loaded moment. You know those moments in life where you know something very intense is happening, but you can’t process things in the moment? We don’t work like that. I wanted that moment to be he knows what he’s coming in to see. He’s coming into the room, he knows what’s there. But then the reality of seeing his father, the father who wanted to kill him… It’s such a conflicted moment.
“Personally, I didn’t want to take it further than, ‘Wow, what does that mean?' Itisloaded. It’s very full, but as to what it means, I don’t know. I still don’t know. Antony doesn’t know what that meant for the character, because I don’t think the character should know.”
