Subservience Has Similarities To M3gan & Some Of Megan’s Fox Past Roles
A.I. Horror Continues.
Fox’s experience with the sci-fi and horror genres makes her an ideal casting choice for Alice and can help generate more interest inSubservience.
Subservienceimmediately brings to mind the concept of thesci-fi horror movieM3GANand its story of a lifelike artificially intelligent doll who is brought home, only to gain self-awareness and become violent.M3GANwas well-received by critics and became a box office success, although part of its appeal was the campiness and dark humor within its horror story, which istonally different from the approachSubservienceis taking to a similar story. Both horror films feel timely given the widespread discourse and growing presence of artificial intelligence in modern society.

BeforeJennifer’s Body, her breakout role was as Mikaela Banes in Michael Bay’sTransformersandTransformers: Revenge of the Fallen, where she was also meant to be seductive, although Mikaela was a far more heroic character.
Megan Fox was written out of Michael Bay’sTransformersmovies afterRevenge of the Fallen.
Fox’s experience with the sci-fi and horror genres makes her an ideal casting choice for Aliceand can help generate more interest inSubserviencewhen it becomes available for digital and on-demand purchases. It is unlikely to become a surprise hit and social media sensation asM3GANdid with its dancingand imitations that went viral. Nevertheless,Subserviencestill has the potential to be an entertaining thriller that involves a timely subject.
