However, while Yord Fandar might have had the “Yord Horde,”Manny Jacinto’s Qimir truly stole the show. Now, one cosplayer has recreated Qimir’s most popular look flawlessly.
The cosplay, posted byedo_cosplay_on Instagram, showsThe Acolyte’sQimir gripping his red lightsaber while wearing his iconic Sith helmet and donning the outfit that shows off the biceps Qimir surprised audiences with in the show.

The cosplayer’s Instagram post also includes Qimir’s oddly beautiful (but also a bit creepy) quote fromThe Acolyteepisode 5,“What extraordinary beings we are. Even in the revelation of our triumph, we see the depth of our despair.”
I Think I’ve Figured Out The Acolyte’s Real Sith Lord Secret
This new Star Wars theory highlights The Acolyte’s Sith Lord’s biggest secret, and it could have major ramifications for Osha’s season 2 future.
Qimir Truly Was The Best Part Of The Acolyte
The Acolytewas billed as aStar Warsmystery thriller featuring a Sith story. However, while the show had plenty of mystery, as each episode seemed to contain its own plot twist, the Sith story wasn’t front-and-center. Rather, the show focused on twins Osha and Mae (who ended up not really being twins at all, but rather the same consciousness split into two bodies) and the four Jedi who had effectively cost the girls their family and their home. Ultimately,The Acolytestill felt like a Jedi story, even if it was meant to be about the Sith.
The Acolytestill felt like a Jedi story, even if it was meant to be about the Sith.

This is particularly a shame in light of what a compelling character Qimir/the Stranger proved to be. After the surprise twist that the masked villain known to be Mae’s master was really her quirky accomplice Qimir, the Stranger went on an absolutely brutal killing spree, taking out multiple Jedi single-handedly and revealing his immense strength in the Force. However, he only got more complicated from there, revealing not only a mysterious past as a Jedi but also, seemingly, romantic feelings for Osha.
Arguably, given his complexity and intrigue,Qimir should have been the protagonist ofThe Acolyte. Instead, the protagonist seemed to be Osha, although even her story was drowned out to a certain extent because it was mixed in with multiple Jedi having arcs of their own, her family’s history, and the underlying Sith plot, which ended with a cameo by none other than Darth Plagueis. This isn’t to say that Osha wasn’t a wonderful character in her own right—she was, but her turn to the dark side didn’t come untilThe Acolyte’sfinale.
In that sense, the show wasn’t precisely about the Sith; rather, it was about the fall of a former Jedi. Unfortunately, this turn didn’t feel particularly new, whereas Qimir’s story genuinely did. In fact, a story about Qimir could still have led to Osha’s fall, as the main arc could have been about Qimir seeking his acolyte. Regardless, it’s clear why Qimir/the Stranger was so popular inThe Acolyte, and thisStar Warscosplay is brilliant proof of that.
