How Zack Snyder’s Director’s Cut Is Different

Rebel Moon — The Director’s Cuthas not only received a new R-rating, but also new titles. The first installment, originally titledRebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, is now calledRebel Moon – Chapter One: Chalice of Blood. The second installment, initially namedRebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, has been retitled toRebel Moon – Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness. Unlike the original PG-13 versions, the director’s cuts promise to be more intense and grittier, with the new titles hinting at the darker content to expect in the R-rated editions.

Netflix has also revealed that it will release bothRebel Moondirector’s cuts on August 2. Previously, there was a four-month gap between the release of the initial PG-13Rebel Moonmovies. However, since the story has already been told and there are no surprises left, aside from the additional sexual content and graphic violence permitted by the R-rating, the streaming service will debut both director’s cuts simultaneously.
