It’s been confirmed thatLongoria will play Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) in theOnly Murdersmovie. She’ll be joined by Eugene Levy and Zach Galifianakis, also playing themselves, who are starring as Charles and Oliver (Martin Short)in the fictional film. On the whole, they’re part of a largerOnly Murders in the Buildingcastthat includes the returning Meryl Streep, Molly Shannon, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, and Kumail Nanjiani, among others.
Based on the teaser forOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 4, Oliver, Mabel, and Charles are coming off the news that their podcast is being adapted. Althoughit’s known that the upcoming episodes won’t be completely set in Los Angeles, at least some time will be spent across the country. Nonetheless, after a mixed reaction to theending ofOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 3, the next installment could bounce back with some clever cameos anda meta concept that allows the series to poke fun at its own success. If it pulls off the balance of Sazz’s investigation with a Hollywood production that may not go according to plan, it could be the best season yet. All will become clear when the show returns in August.
