As you can see in the above video by YouTube creatorBen-Gun, the Focus meter can be seen right below Samurai Jack’s health, which can be hard to see at first as you start learning how to use the character.

Focus attacks also deal Weaken, a status effect that causes enemy characters to take more damage. You can use Samurai Jack’s other Passive,Calm Your Mind, to crouch and turn Focus into gray health for you and nearby allies rather than on an empowered special move. The final Passive,The Mark of a Samurai, causes Jack’s attacks to mark an enemy for an ally to convert his blows into Weaken during a 2v2 match.

Samurai Jack Combat Tips & Strategies

Build Focus And Counter Enemy Aggression

Samurai Jack is considered a character with the"Bruiser"archetype, making them a fighter designed to overwhelm enemies with brute force. Thischaracter class inMultiversusexcels at close range and typically likes to use melee combat to knock out their opponents. This should give you a good idea about Samurai Jack’s general fighting style before you even start practicing with him in Training mode.

Your goal with Samurai Jack should be tostay close to your opponent and deal damage to generate Focusas often as you can. The Neutral Special counter is a great way to keep your enemies guessing as you turn their aggressive tactics against them. Against other Bruisers, such asAgent Smith inMultiversus, Samurai Jack can quickly turn the tables with full Focus and his defensive skills.

Samurai Jack usually has an answer to enemy attacks, including counters to projectiles and ways to move around fast to close the distance on your opponents. Focus moves sometimes build gray health for Jack, allowing him to stay alive longer in prolonged fights. The more time you have to adapt to your enemies, the more chances you’ll have to build Focus and use empowered moves to knock out rival characters.
