As forDexter: Resurrection, it had already been revealed as far back as February 2023 thatNew Bloodwould continue on with a new focus on Jack Alcott’s Harrison, though Showtime would later cancel these plans in favor ofOriginal Sin. However, the confirmation thatDexter: New Bloodseason 2is still moving ahead, albeit with a new title, and that Hall is also expected to return would seemingly confirm previous theories that he is likely to appear to Harrison in much the same way that his adopted father, Harry Morgan (James Remar), would appear to him throughout the original show.
While the sequel’s new title may also hint at a miraculous return for Hall’s Dexter, the implied resurrection likely instead refers to Harrison resuming the same kind of vigilante killing that his father was famous for. Having Harrison pick up his father’s scalpel and embark on his own career as a vigilante serial killer is an exciting enough prospect in itself, but having Hall’s Dexter become the voice ofhis son’s own Dark Passengerwill only serve to make the show that much better.
