One of thebiggest shoujo anime of all time,Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You,is returning for a third season onNetflixthis Fall 2024, and has finally confirmed a release date for the same along with an all-new trailer. First announced back in April 2024,Kimi ni Todokeis set to return after 13 long years and the excitement surrounding its return is expected to grow even further ahead of its release.
According to a post on X by MangaMoguraRE,season 3 ofKimi ni Todokeis expected to release on June 23, 2025,exclusivelyon Netflix. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer posted to Netflix’s Anime-specific YouTube channel.
As with the first two seasons,season 3 ofKimi ni Todokehas also been produced by Production I.G. and is one of the most beloved anime in the shojo space. The new season has been directed by Kenichi Matsuzawa(Kuroko’s Basketball, High school DxD) with the series' original voice cast consisting of Mamiko Noto(Sawako) and Daisuke Namikawa (Kazehaya) also expected to reprise their old roles.

Based on the hit manga series written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina which concluded its story in 2017,Kimi ni Todoke’ssecond season aired back in 2011 which made news of its renewal an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Season 3 ofKimi ni Todokeis expected to pick up where the story left off a decade ago, with Sawako and Shota navigating their new relationship as a couple.
As such, the new trailer features Sawako heading out on her first date with Kazehaya as well as seeking dating advice from her friends. The trailer also teases the school trip to Okinawa, where several other relationships in the series will also be explored and tested, particularly Ayane who is expected to receive some much due character development.
