What You Need to Sync iPhone Messages to a Mac

You canuse an iPhone and a Mac together using Apple’s Continuity featurein many ways. The hardware and software requirements vary depending on the Continuity feature you want to use.

To sync the Messages app on your iPhone to your Mac, ensure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID first. Then, check if Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your iPhone and Mac.

You should also ensure that all the email addresses and phone numbers you use to send and receive messages are enabled on both devices (more on this below) so your messages can sync.

Configure iMessage Settings on Your iPhone to Sync Texts

To begin syncing iPhone messages to your Mac, you have to configure your Messages app’s settings. Go toSettings > Messagesandmake sure iMessage is activated. If not, toggle it on and wait a few minutes for it to activate.
