Do you enjoy sharing every little moment with your Instagram followers through Instagram notes? you’re able to now share snippets of your day by posting short videos. Here’s how to share your own video notes on Instagram…
How Videos on Instagram Notes Work
If you aren’t aware, Instagram notes are temporary statuses that appear at the top of a user’s Instagram inbox and disappear after 24 hours. While the ability toadd music to Instagram noteswas introduced in June 2023, the feature lacked the option to share image and video-based statuses.
Fortunately, Instagram rolled out an update in December 2023 that allows you to share two-second looping video notes.
Since the time limit for video notes is capped at two seconds, if you’d like to share a more detailed video, we recommend posting it on your Instagram Story instead. For personal updates, you canshare your Instagram Story with only close friends.
When using notes, you can also add context to your video by pairing it with a short caption and a song that matches its vibe. Unfortunately, you can only record your two-second video using your device’s front-facing camera, which means that you’re limited to recording videos through this perspective only.
Additionally, you can’t upload two-second videos to your notes from your device’s camera gallery or upload multiple videos simultaneously.
