With the free Tales of Agrabah update coming toDisney Dreamlight Valleyon February 26th, preparations should be underway if you don’t want to delay access to any of the features. While there’s no way to know what exactly will be required to access and max out the new characters, there are a couple of ways to ensure you’re prepared no matter what.

At the moment, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine are the only new characters from Agrabah who will be included in this update and arriving through theAladdin-themed realm. Based on that information, there are a few requirements that can be inferred simply based on past additions of other characters, such as Dreamlight costs and friendship levels.

Stock Up On Dreamlight

Tales Of Agrabah Will Require A Lot Of Dreamlight To Unlock All Its Features

SinceAladdin and Jasmine are arriving through a realmin the Dreamlight Castle, there’s one aspect of that process you should be pretty familiar with by now. To access the realm, you’ll first need to pay the Dreamlight cost. While the initial doors started at only 3,000 Dreamlight, each one after that steadily went up in cost until the most recent addition, Mulan, stuck to a stable number.

Disney Dreamlight Valley 2025 Roadmap & Updates Explained

The first three Dreamlight Valley updates of 2025 have been teased by Disney, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come in the first half of next year.

WhenMulan was added toDisney Dreamlight Valley, her realm door thankfully had the same cost as the Monsters Inc. one before it, 15,000 Dreamlight. Since 15,000 is a relatively standard Dreamlight cost around the valley, with Floating Islands and the priciest biomes being the same price, this will likely be the cap for realm door costs. If that’s true, then that meansyou’ll need 15,000 Dreamlight minimum to unlock the Aladdin realm.

Four floating islands with water features are also being added as part of the update with a 15,000 Dreamlight cost each. So if you hope to unlock those as well as the realm, thenyou’ll need 75,000 Dreamlight minimum for everything.

There are only a couple of ways to go about this, with the first being the traditional method of completing duties in the Valley. For this, you’ll need to make sure you remain in the base game’s Valley, as completing daily tasks in either of theDisney Dreamlight ValleyDLCswill result in accruing their currency, not Dreamlight. Unfortunately, since thesetasks only provide between 50-250 Dreamlight on average, it could take nearly 100 tasks just to accrue enough to unlock the door.

How To Find More Dream Shards In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley provides Dreamer adventurers with two primary ways to farm Dream Shards, the rarest currency resource in the Valley.

Thankfully, there’s one way to speed this along a bit with Dream Shards. On any crafting bench, 10 Dream Shards can be used to craft 250 Dreamlight at a time.To craft the entire 15,000, you would need around 600 Dream Shards, which are typically found through digging or Night Thorns. However, even if you have them, I would still recommend trying to earn Dreamlight through duties first and then just supplementing on the day of the update if you don’t have enough to avoid wasting materials.

Max Out Friendships With Other Villagers

Work On Other Friendships While You Wait

While Dreamlight is by far the most important thing to work on before the update, if you’re already good in that area, then the next thing to move on to is friendships. Oftentimes, each new villager will have friendship quests that include other villagers released before them, which means Jasmine and Aladdin may requirehigh friendships with other charactersto finish their quests. Luckily, since Aladdin and Jasmine are base game characters, none of their quests are going to involve DLC characters.

How To Unlock Tiana In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Princess Tiana has come to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but you’ll need to prepare a special meal with Remy & other villagers to formally welcome her.

This means all your attention should be on other base game villagers. This includes all original villagers and any that were unlocked through other means in the valley, such as realms or discovering objects. If you’re missing any base game villagers, now is the time to unlock them and work on their friendships. The easiest way to do this is byserving them meals in restaurants, gifting them their favorite daily items, and chatting with them each dayup until the update’s release.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Best Things To Do After Completing All Story Quests

Though story quests may be done for now, there is still plenty to do in Disney Dreamlight Valley such as friendships, gardening, and saving money.

This is often because the main story unlocks certain aspects of the game and even certain characters that may be required as part of a friendship quest. To avoid getting stuck here with Aladdin and Jasmine if they require it,the last major thing to work on is completing the main story. To do this, open up your menu and tab over to the quest page. All quests should be broken down into Daily Quests, Story Quests, and Friendship Quests. Finish everything in the Story Quest section, if you can.
