Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Ultraman X Avengers #4!Galactusis one of the most powerful entities in the Marvel Universe, and that’s true no matter what reality he travels to. Galactus is no stranger to multiversal/interdimensional travel, and he’s so powerful that he is never worried about where he ends up. Galactus is the ‘top dog’ no matter what. Well, most of the time. Actually, during his most recent appearance,Galactus got rocked by another powerhousefrom an alternate universe, proving that maybe he isn’t the ‘top dog’ wherever he goes after all.
In a preview forUltraman X Avengers#4 by Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, and Francesco Manna,Galactus - who was banished from Earth-616 to theUltramanUniverse- is heading for the Land of the Light, which is the homeworld of the Ultras. Galactus means to consume that world, which will make him strong enough to consume entire galaxies. However, doing so won’t be as easy as Galactus would hope.

When Galactus gets to the Land of the Light, he is blasted out of the sky by Ultraman Taro - an Ultraman who lives on the Land of the Light and trains other Ultras. In other words, Taro is a heavy-hitting Ultraman even among the other Ultras, and he is not to be messed with. Galactus learned that first-hand, as Taro did what few others have ever done before: one-shotted the Devourer of Worlds.
Ultraman is a Galactus-Level Powerhouse
The Hardcore Action Between Ultraman and Galactus is Only Just Getting Started
Ultraman Taro put Galactus on his butt with a single shot, and while Galactus recovered from that attack, Taro still proved that he has what it takes to literally stop Galactus in his tracks like it’s nothing. Not only is this insanely impressive, as very few characters in any reality have ever accomplished what Ultraman Taro has in this preview, but it’s also incredibly exciting, as their epic battle is just getting started.
After Galactus recovers, he immediately challenges Ultraman Taro, and Taro happily accepts. Their battle will literally decide the fate of the Land of Ultra - and, indeed, the entireUltramanUniverse - making it as high-stakes as a fight can be. Plus, the sight of these two cosmic powerhouses clashing on the pages of this comic will be absolutely epic, and will assuredly further prove that Ultraman is aGalactus-level powerhouse.

Ultraman Succeeded Where Dormammu & Ultimate Captain Marvel Failed
This isn’t the first time Galactus has traveled to another universe of dimension. In the miniseriesHunger, Galactus goes to the original Ultimate Universe of Earth-1610, where he bonds with Gah Lak Tus and threatens the entire reality. TheCaptain Marvel of that world (Rick Jones) unleashes a cosmic blast upon Galactusto stop him, and while it destroys Gah Lak Tus, the original World Devourer is basically unharmed. InDoctor Strange#15, Galactus travels to Dormammu’s Dark Dimension, where he consumes a magical celestial body and becomes far stronger than he’s ever been - too strong for even Dormammu to handle in his own dimension.
Galactus May Be Gunning For the MCU, But Marvel Just Nerfed His Power In a Big Way
Galactus will soon invade the MCU, but ahead of his debut, Marvel has nerfed his powers in a serious way, raising a host of questions along the way.
Galactus’ past victoriesin other universes and dimensions only serve to highlight how truly impressive Ultraman Taro’s power really is in this preview. Indeed, it was always pretty widely accepted thatGalactusis the ‘top dog’ no matter where he goes, but now, that’s just been proven wrong in the most epic - and admittedly unexpected - way.
