Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3.

Fromseason 4 needs to give a larger role to one of the series' original characters. Since season 1,From’s cast of charactershas been extensive. Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) is arguably the show’s most prominent character, butFromhas always been and continues to be an ensemble series. The cast only expanded further in season 2 when a bus became trapped in the Town, and several of its passengers became important characters, including Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons), Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), Randall (A.J. Simmons), and Tillie (Deborah Grover).

Fromseason 3, episode 1featured a major addition to the cast with the unexpected introduction of Victor’s father, Henry Kavanaugh (Robert Joy), and Acosta (Samantha Brown) also became an important character following her debut later in season 3. Between the deaths of Tillie, Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy), and especially with Jim Matthews inFromseason 3’s ending, the ensemble is shrinking slightly. It is still quite large, though, and has caused an original character to become increasingly overlooked.

From Season 4 Needs To Give Kristi A Bigger Role After Being Sidelined In Season 3

She Didn’t Get Much To Do After Her Foot Injury

Kristi Miller (Chloe Van Landschoot) is one ofFrom’s best charactersand has been one of the series' most central characters since season 1. However, she was sidelined for much of season 3. Kristi was featured more in the early episodes, especially in the aftermath of Tian-Chen’s death, as she tried to support her friend Kenny Liu as much as she could. AfterKristi’s foot got caught in a trap at the mysterious settlement, she spent most of the remaining episodes at the medical clinic and was unable to physically move around the Town with ease.

The From season 3 finale technically fulfills a popular romance between characters that many fans wanted to see, albeit in brutal and tragic fashion.

Unless characters came directly to the medical clinic to see her, as Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) did to get the ultrasound, Kristi did not get much to do inFromseason 3, particularly during the last half of the season. Kristi was concerned about how her partner, Marielle, was doing after being possessed by the Music Box Monster in season 2, but this did not amount to much, as it was not until Kristi and Marielle’s final season 3 scene that Marielle admitted she was not doing okay. This will likely be further explored in season 4.

From Season 4 Reviving Kristi & Kenny’s Friendship Would Help Fix Their Story Issues

Both Characters Need More Focus In Season 4

Fromseason 4focusing more on Kristi and Kenny’s friendship can help both characters feel more prominent, as they were largely sidelined after Tian-Chen’s death and funeral. The sweet dynamic and chemistry between Kristi and Kenny was one of the best parts of their stories in season 1. Their romantic spark was snuffed out when Marielle was revealed to be Kristi’s fiancée from before she became trapped in the Town. Fortunately,Fromdid not force a love triangle situation between Kristi, Marielle, and Kenny, instead letting Kristi and Marielle be happily reunited while also maintaining Kenny and Kristi’s friendship.

Marielle said Kristi had been missing for six months.

Season 4 should feature them being paired up and exploring a new storyline together, whether it is solving one ofFrom’s unanswered mysteries, helping the residents after the fallout from season 3, or simply spending more time together. Now that Kenny lives at Colony House, Kristi could spend more time there, not only because of him, but to be on call to help with medical problems that may emerge in the location where the largest number of residents are located.Fromhas many characters to balance, but that balance needs to further include Kristi in season 4.
