Peacemaker’s Canon Status Is Murky
The biggest question aboutPeacemakerseason 2 ishow it will actually fit within the DC Universe. Gunn has been very limited about plot details for the new season and the show’s transition into this continuity. Through his social media presence, Gunn has made it clear that some things will still be canon from the DCEU in the DC Universe, while other elements won’t be included.
It’s very possible thatPeacemakerseason 2will tackle it from a multiverse angle by having these characters be doppelgängers of their DCEU counterparts. That way,it would be more organic to explain why some things have happened in both the DCEU and DC Universe, while some things went down differently in Gunn’s continuity. It would even be fun if, somehow, Cena’s DCEU version of the character literally moves from one universe to another.
