It will be the first time that the audience gets to see Harry Morgan on screen while that character is living outside of various flashback scenes and appearances as a part of Dexter’s conscience. Doris Morgan is referenced through all eight seasons of the original series but mostly as a supporting character to Harry Morgan, played by James Remar. Dexter does not have a close relationship with either of his mothers buthe would certainly have had spent much more time with Doris than he would have with Laura, since Laura died before Dexter could even speak. Doris Morgan was portrayed by Kathrin Middleton in two episodes of the first season, one episode in the second season, and the season 7 premiere, all through flashback sequences.
