Summary
Big Brother 26houseguestMakensy Manbeck won a secret power called America’s Veto, and it could potentially turn the whole game on its head. During theBig Brother 26two-night premiere, the houseguests secretly voted about whether they wanted to allow a 17th houseguest, Ainsle, to play the game. Ainsle ended up being an AI character who’ll be controlling the game for the summer, and she either upgraded or downgraded certain houseguests' games, depending on their performances in competitions based on if they voted yes or no for her to joinBig Brother 26.
Makensy, a 22-year-old construction project manager from Houston, Texas, voted yes to Ainsle, and had the opportunityto compete in aBig Brother 26upgrade competition. During the game, the players were spun around quickly in a chair, while watching a series of colors flash before them. They then had to replicate the pattern by pushing colorful buttons, all while being very dizzy. Makensy won the competition, which came with the prize of America’s Veto.

What Is America’s Veto?
The Power Will Be Shared By Makensy & Big Brother Viewers
America’s Veto allows Makensy to use the secret power at the end of the Power of Veto meeting, just like a normal veto would be used. She can save someone, including herself, from the chopping block. However, when America’s Veto is used, the Head of Household (HOH) won’t name the replacement nominee. Instead, it will be America. The player that America chooses to be the replacement nominee will find out that they’ve been nominated live on eviction night.
How Long Does America’s Veto Last?
America’s Veto Won’t Be Around Forever
Makensy has four weeks to activate America’s Veto. It can only be used once. Makensy will have to decide if she wants to save one of her allies or keep the power for herself, just in case she gets nominated in the future.
America’s Veto isa very excitingBig Brother 26twist. By putting the power to choose the replacement nominee in the hands of the viewers, rather than the HOH,Big Brotheris giving America a huge say in who goes home that week. In addition, because the nominee will be announced at the live eviction, they won’t have the opportunity to campaign for themselves. They might even be shocked about being nominated.

Also,America’s Veto will cause thehouseguests to have to scramble at the last minute to decide whom to vote for. America’s Veto, combined with the AI Arena twist, which will save one of the three nominees from the chopping block on eviction night, has the potential to create one of the most chaotic live evictions inBig Brotherhistory. Hopefully, Makensy will choose to use America’s Veto, and turn the game upside down.
