6Rainbow Six Mobile

Rainbow Six Mobile features Rainbow Six Siege’s famous tactical FPS gameplay in bite-sized form; it’s a 5v5 hero shooter where you’ll encountergame modes like secure and bomb, which put you in a position to play strategically with your team.

So far, Rainbow Six Mobile has undergone alpha testing and had a closed beta for select countries. Ubisoft has initially confirmed a 2022 release window for Android and iOS, leaving the pre-registration up to the Play Store. However, it’s now 2024, so a launch should just be around the corner. The game has pushed for a soft launch and is already releasing in some countries: Canada, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. Everyone else will be able to get in on this action in 2024 (we predict by the end of Q1). But if you’re absolutely itching to know more, check out the news for maps on the officialRainbow Six Mobile website.

5Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

The fad for porting over hot battle royale games isn’t over; Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is taking a piece of the pie, and it will be delicious. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will support up to 120 players in each match, and fan-favorite Verdansk map makes a return. The best part is that this game supports cross-progression for your battle pass and friends list to sync with other titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 — now you can get your fill of Call of Duty wherever you’d like without worrying about individual progress levels.

Pre-registration is officially up, but the release date is pushed back for a full global release until Spring 2024. Right now, Call of Duty Warzone Mobile has a limited release for residents residing in Australia, Chile, Norway, and Sweden — expect more countries to join the fray as time goes on.

4Assassin’s Creed Jade

Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title is set to take place during Ancient China (Qin dynasty). Ubisoft plans to go all out with this entry, including a fully fleshed-out character creation mode and open-world gameplay. The game is free-to-play and shouldn’t feel much different in quality from the former console title entries, so anyone looking to get their feet wet into Assassin’s Creed should look forward to this one.

There is no set release yet; besides, it is “coming soon,” leading toward a potential launch for this year. Since the reveal at Gamescom, Ubisoft made noise about a 2nd closed beta test for global that was conducted over the summer, but since then, the game’s current state has remained tightlipped.

The hit puzzle platformer developed by Number None will release the Anniversary (an updated) Edition that includes new hand-drawn art, improved sounds, and some incredible new mixes to the soundtrack. The game will be released on multiple platforms, including Netflix Games (for Android and iOS), on April 30th, 2024.

Braid brings a unique take on puzzle solving. You will travel to different worlds and use time-based abilities to complete puzzles; the game operates non-linearly, so if you become stuck on one puzzle for too long, you can move on and return later. All in all, Braid has received a 9/10 on Steam and is considered to be a timeless classic that everyone should experience, whether you’re a puzzle-platformer enthusiast or not.

2Wuthering Waves

Kuro Games has made a run for bringing out Wuthering Waves (likely) this year. The game is closing in on asecond beta sign-upin February (2024). So far, Wuthering Waves looks fantastic: top-quality animations, smooth-as-silk action-based gameplay, and a giant open world ready to be explored. Kuro Game has stated that it underwent 90% (story) changes after receiving feedback from the first beta test. So, with this much commitment to creating a stellar game, it’s trying to gun for the top spot as one of the most anticipated games, with millions of views on the second closed beta trailer.

Unfortunately, no official release date has been given, but based on how difficult it is to secure a Chinese gaming license and how quick it can expire, we predict that the game will come out before the end of this year (2024). So, if you’re trying to look for a more hardcore Genshin Impact alternative, Wuthering Waves may be the title to watch out for. You can pre-register on the officialWuthering Waves website.

1Zenless Zone Zero

HoYoverse is opting to take over all the gacha markets with its overwhelming set of new games and soft reboots. Zenless Zone Zero has made the rounds since May 2022 and is expected to be released sometime in 2024. We’ve had the pleasure oftrying out this action (sort of) roguelikeduring its second closed beta cycle. The whole game has the entire HoYoverse polish, from recycled systems from its latest iterations (Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail) to introducing entirely new mechanics that make it such an impressive standalone title.

It’s not without a doubt that Zenless Zone Zero will shake up the gacha market when it releases. But it will also be the first time HoYoverse starts a new line of lore from scratch, not re-using Honkai characters and crossovers. This also may be the perfect entry point if you’re new to HoYoverse’s gaming ecosystem.
