10The Swordsmith Kanamori’s Work During The Hashira Training

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 4: “To Bring a Smile to One’s Face”.

The scene depicting Tanjiro meeting Kanamori from the Swordsmith Village, who is invited and assigned by Ubuyashiki to Muichiro’s residence to help maintain the Demon Slayers’ Nichirin blades during training, shows the importance of the swordsmiths in the Demon Slayers Corps. It also showcases Muichiro’s gratitude towards Oyakata for ensuring the Hashiras get what they need to prepare for the battle, even after his condition has worsened.

The scene is meant to show appreciation for the swordsmith’s role after the last arc. The swordsmiths have always displayed dedication to forging the blades, like Haganezuka, who finished Tanjiro’s sword despite his injuries. Kanamori’s willingness to help during a crucial time away from his village shows his commitment to the organization.

9Tamayo Deciding To Ally With The Demon Slayer Corps

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 2: “Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka’s Pain”

While Ubuyashiki’s Kasugai crow invited Tamayo to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters as an ally to defeat Kibutsuji in chapter 131 of the manga, whether she accepted the invitation wasn’t revealed until she attacked Muzan with the blood demon art of the man he turned into a demon in Asakusa in chapter #138.

In the anime, after the crow flies away, Yushiro tells Tamayo that they should abandon the house and move out because it’s dangerous. 8Obanai Reading Kanroji’s Letter

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 5: “I Even Ate Demons”

InDemon Slayer’s Swordsmith Village episode 10, it is implied that Iguro Obanai, the Snake Hashira, has feelings for the Love Hashira Kanroji Mitsuri when it is shown that they go to eat together and that he gifted her the green-striped thigh-high socks that she wears. This is reinforced in season 4, where the anime adds an original scene of Obanai receiving a letter from Kanroji, immediately reading it the moment it arrives.

Kanroji’s letter was about her eating with Tanjiro and thinking he looked adorable, which caused a jealous response from Iguro, who began to tremble in rage. The next scene of Obanai telling Tanjiro that it seems he had fun with Kanroji, and that he wasn’t like her, does appear inDemon Slayer’s manga chapter 132, but the chapter only has a narration bubble explaining that the two Hashira exchange letters. Including the content of Mitsuri’s letter and Obanai’s reaction when reading it makesa sweet scene that adds to their relationship.

7The Paper Plane Competition Between Tanjiro And The Mist Hashira

Just like thefunny moment when Tanjiro challenges Giyu to an eating competition, the protagonist decides that a paper plane throwing contest with Muichiro Tokito is a good idea to bond with him. Tanjiro asks Kanamori about the Mist Hashira’s hobby, and he uses the lighthearted opportunity to compete with Muichiro in order for him to relax and treat the low-ranking demon slayers corps members who can’t keep up with his training better.

While the Hashira training is important to gain the strength to survive the battle with Muzan, playful scenes like this show a different side of the characters, especially Muichiro, who, thanks to regaining his memory, has changed from his estoic personality.

6Amane Caring For Ubuyashiki

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 1: “To Defeat Muzan Kibutsuji”

While it may seem like a slow scene, Amane caring for his spouse, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the head of the demon-slayer corps, is an endearing moment that shows what true love and marriage are. Amane’s loyalty is showcased in her compromise to achieve the mission of the Corps, fulfilling her spouse’s role in his place, and her dedication to caring for Ubuyashiki when he can no longer move due to the worsening of his sickness.

Additionally, Ubuyashiki’s sincerity while expressing his gratitude for everything that Amane does for him, and her tears showing her pain for the state of her husband, make it a touching moment. 5Muzan’s Dramatic Entrance

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 7: “Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima”.

A key moment of the season,Muzan entering Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s mansion, was included in the anime to enhance the atmosphere of the beginning of the last fight with the King of Demons. While the confrontation between Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, and Muzan Kibutsuji, the series’ main antagonist, remains faithful to the source material, the demon’s walk to Oyakata’s mansion was extended to connect the moment with the season’s ending.

The ending is not only a warning about Muzan’s arrival, showing his route until he finally reaches the mansion, but the lyrics are also a letter from him to Ubuyashiki, telling him that terror, power, and burning everything in his path is the way to eternity. Muzan’s entrance is meant to transmit his confidence and his feelings of expectation, as he believes he’s finally about to reach the immortality he’s been dreaming of for more than 1000 years, which was perfectly delivered by the anime.

4Tengen’s Fighting Tanjiro And Other Demon Slayers At The Same Time

Demon SlayerSeason 4, Episode 3: “Fully Recovered Tanjiro Joins the Hashira Training!!”

The original anime scene where former Sound Hashira’s Tengen Uzui pushes the lower-ranked demon slayers to their limits is based on chapter 129 of the Hashira Training arc in the manga. Tengen, challenging all the demon slayers and Tanjiro to fight him in the mountains, highlights that even after losing one eye and arm, he is still really powerful.

The original content of Tengen and Tanjiro’s training served to show the flashiest former Hashira’s regret for not being able to participate in such a crucial battle. Tengen’s retirement from the Demon Slayer Corps after the Entertainment District Arc events wasn’t deepened in the manga, and showing how the character is passing the baton to the next generation is a great addition that givesan emotional farewell to Uzui.
